This workshop offers a sensory and cultural immersion into the living textile culture of the Dong and Miao indigenous peoples of the Guizhou mountains in Southwest China. It's an invitation to slow down, listen, and feel in order to perceive the vital energy ( Qi ) that inhabits the handmade fabrics, dyed with medicinal plants and crafted with profound respect for natural rhythms.

Content :

• Screening of a short documentary film , a dive into the daily lives of Dong women, who perpetuate ancestral practices and forge intimate links with Nature and its deities.

• A tactile and olfactory experience : discovering the living textures of fabrics dyed with indigo, mugwort or Chinese yam, accompanied by traditional Dong songs.

• Fermented tea ritual , resonating with the art of fermentation celebrated in indigo dyes and dark teas, accompanied by medicinal incense.
