The Alma Gallery: the soul of materials
and meetings
Alma (tea gallery) is a living space, dedicated to encounters between the arts of tea and those who bring them to life.
We welcome residents from different backgrounds:
Tea houses and tea and infusion producers wishing to present their teas and infusions, share their world and meet the Parisian public.
Ceramists and creators of tea-related objects (chawan, kyusu, incense burners, chaxi objects),
Artisans of gesture and material (wood, fabrics, natural fibers, etc.).
Dancing Ruby: October 2-4, 2025
Dancing Ruby, an olfactory and artistic creation by Roya Nadafi: a candle that makes perfume a language, and the tea ritual a space of contemporary resonance.
An Iranian-born artist who has lived between Tehran, Vienna, and San Francisco, Roya Nadafi has long explored the intersections of art, memory, and public space. Her work, which ranges from photography to architecture to sensory installations, draws inspiration from diaspora narratives and the beauty of everyday gestures.
When ritual becomes atmosphere
In Persian culture, chai is never just a drink: it's a symbol of rhythm, ritual, and healing. Dancing Ruby transposes this age-old ritual into an object of light and fragrance.
Its notes evoke the misty mornings of the Gilan plateau , the salty breeze of the Caspian Sea , the sweetness of white flowers and autumn fruits. Between musk and hibiscus, the fragrance becomes a living memory, an invitation to slow down and fully inhabit the present.
Each candle is hand-poured in France, presented in a matte glass inspired by the traditional silhouette of the ghoori (Persian teapot).
A true artifact of transmission , it is accompanied by a booklet retracing the history of tea, from the Silk Road to the tea houses of Isfahan.
