The Gong Fu-theque

The art of tea in guided freedom

The Gong Fu-thèque is a unique space in Paris, dedicated to the living practice of Gong Fu Cha, the art of tea with awareness and delicacy.

Here, each visitor is invited to become an actor in their own ritual, to enter into the slow and precise rhythm of this ancestral art.

You choose your objects – gaiwan, teapot or chaxi accessories – then you proceed to set them up, taking the time to feel each texture and object.

Next comes the choice of tea, exclusively from Katrin Rougeventre teas, two vintages which will accompany this experience, to explore their nuances over the course of two hours of infusions.

Finally, the intention and energy that we instill in each gesture complete this preparation, giving all its depth to the practice.

In this space, there is neither haste nor demonstration: it is in practice that the art of tea is exercised and revealed.

The Gongfuthèque offers guided freedom: after a brief initiation by the curator (if necessary), everyone can practice alone or with others, for two hours, letting tea become the path, medium and way.

A true interior laboratory , this space invites you to progress in your practice, to refine your gesture, and to taste each cup as both a gustatory and interior experience.

Each one becomes an open door to the presence, silence and soul of tea.

Wednesday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday and Friday late opening until 9:30 p.m. (by reservation only).
